Earlier this week Director Victoria Storer attended the ‘All In’ conference in Newcastle, hosted by Constructing Excellence in the North East, which brought together professionals from across the region’s construction sector to explore the benefits of embracing Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) as key drivers for business growth, innovation and competitiveness.
As you would expect the well-attended event was informative and insightful, but more importantly – if Victoria’s experience is anything to go by – the presentations had a profound impact upon the audience, galvanising the attendees and inspiring them to go away and implement the day’s learnings in their own organisations.
Particular thanks go to Catriona Lingwood from Constructing Excellence North East, the Chair of its People Group Darush Dodds, and their colleagues for organising the event, to sponsors RED Engineering and Square One, and, from a uniformly stimulating panel, a special mention to speakers Mark Straker MCIOB of Sir Robert McAlpine, Carlos Munez of Willmott Dixon and Alice Ambrose-Thurman FCA FCIS FRSA of Faltec Europe for their thought-provoking and, frankly, inspiring contributions.
