Late last week two of our colleagues, Manager Joe Cowling and Consultant Megan Davies, who both deal with the provision of temporary site management personnel, had the pleasure of visiting the Shieldfield Three Towers renewal works in Newcastle, as guests of main contractor Equans UK & Ireland and the The Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) North East. We’d like to extend our thanks to Ted Green BSc(Hons) MCIOB and and Dan Clark of Equans for their valuable insight into the ongoing scheme, which is being carried out on behalf of Your Homes Newcastle, and to Diane Moore and her colleagues at the CIOB for organising such an enjoyable and interesting site tour.
Having had some personal involvement with the project, Joe was keen to see how the works had been progressing, and to take the opportunity of meeting up with Dean Gray of sub-contractor Springs Roofing Ltd.
The great view of St James’ Park didn’t figure at all when he signed up for the visit. Apparently.
