As part of our close association with Northumbria University, and in particular the departments of Architecture and Built Environment and Mechanical and Construction Engineering, we are once again delighted to award the Student of the Year prize on the BSc (Hons) Construction Project Management course. We’re equally thrilled to announce that this year’s recipient is Thomas Hunsley, here pictured with Corepeople representative Stephen Phillips.
Thomas has been selected to receive this prize as a result of the commitment and hard work he has demonstrated toward his studies and his future career in construction. He has shown a commendable attitude throughout his time at university, staying focussed and positive on achieving his goals, which is evidenced in his achievement of his degree with First Class Honours.
His tutor, Barry Gledson, explains:
“Thomas actively sought employment whilst studying and transferred from the full time course to study part time whilst gaining practical experience in a Contractor environment. Part of Thomas’ success is down to his efforts to stay engaged with his chosen industry”.
Corepeople’s association with Construction related courses at Northumbria University, widely acknowledged as one of the UK’s foremost providers of further education in the Built Environment, now extends to over twenty years. Executive Director Ian Storer comments:
“It is a privilege to be able to showcase outstanding performance in our industry and support the people who will become the next generation of leaders in Construction. Corepeople is delighted to continue working closely with Northumbria University and our congratulations go to Thomas for achieving this well-deserved award”.
