Design Manager (Electrical)

Experienced, electrically biased Design Manager required for a 12 month temporary position (inside IR35) in the Newcastle upon Tyne area.

Tier 1 building contractor with a strong pipeline of projects in the Education, Commercial, Healthcare, and other public sector funded projects.

The Role
Design Manager to co-ordinate the MEP elements of a large new-build manufacturing facility. The MEP package is estimated to be between £15-20 million. The Design Manager will manage coordination for the electrical packages and sprinkler system,  ensuring that designs comply with the client requirements, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines during the construction phase, dealing with any variations that may occur through to commissioning.

Experience Required
Construction qualifications, electrical engineering qualifications preferred.
Proven experience in leading and managing design teams.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, design principles, and industry standards.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills. 

Remuneration
This can be negotiated at the time depending on experience.
