Communications Coordinator required for a new, permanent role in the North East.  Office based a couple of days per week at most, the role is hybrid but requires travel throughout the North East and Yorkshire too.

Overview
The vacancy is a fantastic opportunity for a suitably skilled and/or qualified person to work in a busy Marketing & Communications team.  It is based out of a Durham head office, and offers hybrid working with a couple of days per week either in the office or on site and three at home.

The Role
Working within a fantastic Marketing & Communications team, you will support the Marketing Manager and Communications Specialist in the execution and delivery of both internal and external communications across all divisions of the business.  

This is an interesting role and offers a wide variety of daily duties, these will range from creating short videos for use on various social media platforms to taking detailed notes about a project and then creating interesting, engaging written content from them.  This will require excellent written and interpersonal skills along with the ability to communicate well face to face with colleagues at all levels of the business.

You will assist the team by maintaining the Group’s Internal Communications Platform by managing content uploads via WordPress and writing informative news updates for staff.

A large part of the role will require you to liaise with internal and external stakeholders to arrange PR, photography and media bookings across their construction sites, you will then upload of all this media onto the company library.  Sites are spread across the North East with some in Yorkshire too.  You will be out on the road on average twice a week with occasional trips to Yorkshire as required.   The purpose of these visits to site will include to cover the start up of a new site, updates as to the stage of completion, the actual completion or simply to interview staff on site and create a short video of their interview – this is currently a comms project featuring their newly recruited team of apprentices. 

The successful candidate will also provide general admin support to the team as required.

The role is full-time with a salary of £25,000 plus a car (or car allowance of £5,500 per year) and a fuel card.

The Person
Applications are welcome from confident, creative people with experience of social media and PR content creation.  Strong writing skills are essential, as is the ability to film quality short videos, editing the videos using Adobe Premiere Pro or comparable software.  A comprehensive understanding of social media platforms such as LinkedIn is essential as is the ability to work to deadlines whilst maintaining an excellent attention to detail.
Applicants must be able to drive and be happy to travel across the North East and, on occasion to Yorkshire.

Remuneration
£25,000 per annum plus car/allowance and fuel card.
