Accounts Assistant
Accounts Assistant required for a 12 month fixed term contract in North Tyneside.

The Role
An Accounts Assistant role to join a small but busy accounts team on a 12-month fixed term contract, due to a new contract win. This office-based role offers the potential for one day per week working from home after probation.
Key responsibilities include:
Processing purchase orders, matching invoices, and ensuring approvals are in place
Reconciling supplier statements
Assisting with bank and balance sheet reconciliations
Handling some accounts receivable tasks
Supporting the Manager with material quotations for smaller maintenance works, including obtaining prices, typing up quotes, and coordinating orders and deliveries
General administrative duties, including answering phone calls and entering timesheet information
Experience Required
Previous experience in an accounts role with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency in MS Excel and experience with accounting software such as Sage or QuickBooks
A professional, friendly telephone manner and the ability to build relationships with suppliers and colleagues
Remuneration
Up to £28,000 per annum
39 hours per week
25 days holiday plus bank holidays
