Main contractor – Design Manager – Building

Company
Main contractor specialising in new build developments within the commercial, leisure, retail and residential sectors.

Role
Ensuring the flow of information and design changes between both parties is managed well, with excellent communication and relationship building, is imperative to delivering the organisations construction projects to the highest standard. An additional Design Manager is required to strengthen the team, taking responsibility for providing the cohesion between external consultants and the internal project delivery team on a single large contract or several smaller ones.

This is an office based position in the Newcastle area.

Experience Required
Applicants should come from a design background but be ready to let go of the design production and ready to take on a process management role as a way of elevating career steps and remuneration potential. 

The skills to build rapport with architects and consultants, in conjunction with the ability to work with urgency and understand the practical needs of site project managers and delivery deadlines, is the combination required for success in this position.

Remuneration
Upwards of £38,000 salary, plus other company benefits.
