In my role as Commercial Director at Balfour Beatty I worked very closely with Corepeople for a number of years, they were always our first port of call for Permanent recruitment in the North East and supplied us with a number of high calibre staff.
When we were bidding the A1 Coal House to Metro Centre road widening scheme, Stephen was in touch with us several times during the bidding process. Once we had secured the project, we entered into formalised agreement with Corepeople whereby they would supply us with all of our temporary workers on the project, in addition to the permanent recruitment they were already carrying out. I know that we managed to achieve significant cost savings on the scheme by having the agreement with Corepeople but we also benefited from having an open and honest relationship, as well as knowing that when we have a requirement it is handled by one point of contact which saved us a considerable amount of time & effort. We were given a dedicated Account Manager who was on site at least once per week as well as being available during emergencies. Corepeople were also a great assistance when it came to arranging safety critical medicals for long term temporary labour.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Corepeople to any other contractor and I personally wouldn’t look anywhere else! Whilst not without its problems I have every confidence that Corepeople are always straight and truthful with us about the people they supply.
As Works Manager I have worked very closely with Corepeople for the last 5 years, firstly on the Coal House Road project whilst at Balfour Beatty and then at John Sisk on the Silverlink scheme. On both these projects Corepeople have acted as sole supplier of all white & blue collar temporary workers and I have never found the service to be anything other than first class. Our Account Manager Nicola would always ensure our requirements were dealt with as a priority and when things went wrong, as it inevitably does when you need to undertake volume recruitment, she would always ensure our project suffered as little as possible. As you can imagine, working on such a high profile scheme we are inundated with requests from other agencies but I have never felt the need to go anywhere other than Corepeople.

At the start of the A19 Project there were a number of roles that we needed filling to supplement our existing team. The Sisk-Lagan joint venture selected Corepeople as our recruitment partner for our A19-A1058 coast Road project following a structured section process. We found them to have excellent local knowledge. They operated very professionally and with integrity at all times throughout the period when we were building a team and continue to do so today. We would have no hesitation in working with them again on a similar exercise.
